Judge, Madras High Court and Retd. Chief Justice, Cochin High Court. M. Minakshi, s. One d. Two. Education at Madras � P.S. High School; Presidency College and Law College. Took B.L. Degree, 1930. Enrolled as Advocate, Madras High Court, 1931. Had lucrative practice on the Appellate Side of the Madras High Court. Member, Madras Bar Council, 1948; re-elected, 1950; again, 1955. Government Pleader, Madras � November, 1953 to March, 1957. Amicus Curiae, in Commission of Inquiry re: Ariyaloor Railway Accident, 1956. Has made endowments for lectures in Madras Bar Council. Has constructed and endowed a Women and Children�s Ward in Government Hospital, Chittur Palghat, Kerala State. First Judge to be appointed to the Supreme Court from High Court, Kerala.
